The next few entries will be catching everyone up to the beginning of 2009. I will start from September and do a brief summary of each month. So here we go...
September:
Will took Colin and I to our first Renaissance Fair (RennFest as the cool people would say). It was actually a lot of fun and no, we did not dress up! Even though I think one of us was hoping we would :) Colin had a lot of fun watching the horses during the jousting. He was even shouting "hazzah" along with the crowd when prompted by our paid rabble -rouser. So, our venture out of the house was a success and who knows we may become a regular on the renn circuit!
During September we also went to a local pumpkin patch with our friend Susannah (I work with her). We got to pick out two pumpkins that we carved and everything! At the Patch there was also a little petting area for some of the farm animals. Colin had fun growling at the bunny rabbits and shouting at the enormous pig! He also played on a swing for the first time and actually cried when daddy took him off. Luckily for mommy and daddy there was a local winery right across the way that you got a free tasting for visiting the pumpkin patch! Will and I got to enjoy a nice glass of red wine called Norbert.
