Seriously...More Snow?!?!?

I assumed that I would be writing  about the Super Bowl from sunny California, but due to the recent snow storm my trip has been postponed.  That is irritating in some ways, but I am glad I was able to watch the Super Bowl with my hubby!!  Great game!!!  I am very excited that the Saints won!!!  If I had known we would be watching it together I would have planned a Cajun type meal (maybe jambalaya), but since I did not know, we settled for turkey burgers, tator tots and chips w/bean dip which was actually a pretty good football meal!  Will even baked a delicious cake!!

I have been working from home since Friday, even the weekend I was trying to get the travel plans worked out.  Since the airlines keep canceling flights they keep moving me.  I am now on a flight for tomorrow but cannot get through to the airline to change it to Monday.  What a first trip and it hasn't even started yet!!!  Sunny Cali sounds good right now though; warm weather! We are expecting another 10-20 inches today and tomorrow.  Crazy!!  I see snow as a wonderful thing to travel to...and then leave.  I would actually prefer the rain right now.  I cannot wait for Spring!!
I have enjoyed spending time with Colin these past few days (he stayed home with me on Friday and Monday), even though he has made working a little more challenging.  He likes to sit in my lap while I type and have me pretend to eat out of every cup he has in his little cupboard.  Today, we took him to daycare, so that he could enjoy the company of some other kids and so I could get more work done.  I am sure he was starting to feel cooped up in our apartment, which by the way has a hole in the ceiling now.  It was supposed to get fixed after the last snow storm in December (we came home from Oregon to a good size bubble on our ceiling).  For whatever reason, iIt did not get fixed, so during this storm it got even worse (I mean it did have close to 30 inches of snow on it).  So, we had a little talk with the apartment people about the possibility of it collapsing on our 2 year old's head.  The nice people came and put a hole in it and provided us with a bucket...which is fine. It surprisingly does not make it colder in the apartment unless you stand right under it and Colin knows to stay away from the bucket.  At least that happened in an apartment where someone else has to fix it, but I am ready to have our own place.

The top picture is from the other day.  Snow is pretty, even if inconvenient at times.  The next picture is of Colin staring out his window.  Probably wanting to go outside and play.  I took the picture from our porch so you may have to look hard to see him.  The last picture is of Colin headbanging.  I put the band on his head and we were listening to music and he was rocking out!! I was teaching him to headbang...he is getting the idea!
