Independence Day

I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe 4th of July.  We kept it pretty low-key this year since I had just returned from a trip. Side note: red eye flights are horrible.  I mean HORRIBLE. Well at least when you do not get to sleep very well on the plane and then you come home to two energetic, adorable little kids at 6 AM.  Thankfully Meli takes naps so I could join her that afternoon.  Anyway...we had a good holiday.  Colin and Will went and picked out some fireworks while Meli and I napped a bit.  I am usually a sucker for picking out fireworks and probably spend way too much (Will was probably thrilled I was tired) but sleepiness won.  Colin did a good job though.  He got this really neat robot firework.  Later, we went to some friends' house for a BBQ.  This was the first year where Colin truly embraced the loud, blinding fireworks. He was previously not a fan. At all.  This year he loved them! Meli has always loved them.
