This has been such a nice weekend...so far for me at least. Poor Will has to go back to work tomorrow, but the kids and I get to enjoy the day together. I guess we can thank Columbus for something. If all goes well, it should be a fun day of Halloween crafts and costume planning. Colin and Will picked out little guy's costume today. I will give you a hint...he will be a super hero. Thankfully, we talked him out of one that he had previously been. Colin LOVES Halloween and has been talking about it since June. He changes every week what he wants to be. He went from Buzz Lightyear, to Superman, to Luke Skywalker and a Power Ranger. I am making Meli's outfit this year. I am super excited! I bought all of the materials today. Hopefully, I will have time tomorrow during Mae's nap time.
I just love this time of year. I did not really celebrate Halloween as a kid but am making up for it now! I really wanted to go to the pumpkin patch this weekend, but you do not want to go to early. Do not want rotten pumpkins! We are going in a few weekends. We have gone to the same one for the past 4 years but we are trying a different one this year. Fingers-crossed that it is good.
We took it a little easy this weekend since it was Will's first day off in a while. Yesterday we went to a picnic held by Colin's Tae Kwon Do place. He had so much fun. We got to enjoy Korean BBQ, do a family work-out and watch Colin trying to figure out dodgeball. Poor little guy he was definitely one of the younger ones.
Today was day 4 of my "countdown to 30 - get my butt in gear". I am pretty sore. Today, I went for a run rather than my exercising downstairs. Got to change it up. Will has been running everyday...we can do this!!
It has been raining off and on the past few days, which I do not mind. Meli loved the rain. It made her laugh.
