On Sunday, we went with some friends on another hike. My legs are super sore from my workouts last week and then having two fairly good hikes. We had never been to. It will be nice to go once it warms up more. The waterfall was beautiful! The area would make a nice little wading area. Meli wanted to get in the water, but it was too cold. The adults took our shoes off and braved it to carry the kids across to the other side. Freezing! The hike was made a little more difficult by two fallen trees in the path. On a ledge. We had to do an assembly line to get the kids across. The first tree was pretty wide. I felt very proud of myself for making it over. There was a second where I thought it was going to end badly. Or at least embarrassingly. The second tree must have been like that for quite some time. A little stepping area was carved out of the top. That was very useful, since this tree was even larger than the first one.
