MOPS

On my drive to deliver the meal

I have been a SAHM for a year now. I never thought that I would get this opportunity. I have truly enjoyed it, but it is probably time for me to head back into the work-world. A sad decision but also a happy one. It is kind of a catch-22. I am either home and loving being with the kids, but missing out on the adult business world and a career. Or I am working (and all that comes with that) but missing out on so much time with the kids. I am hoping that an opportunity will present itself that is a good balance.

During my SAHM time, I have met some great mamas. I started going to MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)...it is also combined with MOPS Next. I am loving the group and so glad that I started going.

Recently, I was able to participate in a program called Take Them a Meal for new moms. A mama from MOPS had her 3rd child, a precious little girl, a few weeks ago. This program is such a neat idea. You sign up to provide a meal for the family. I made potato soup, salad and bread (with a few bananas - the middle child, I know loves them). It was such a great feeling to be able to help her out. Three kids under the age of 4 would be a lot to handle, especially with a newborn.

The pictures are from the drive on the way to her house. Such a pretty area. This is what I missed when I was away from Oregon. It feels like you are always driving out in the country. Love it!
