Baltimore National Aquarium

This week was Spring Break for Colin's daycare, so Will worked most of the week from home and I took Thursday and Friday off for a FOUR DAY WEEKEND!  Gotta love those!  So far it has been wonderful...I got my hair done (it had been too long), went shopping at the outlets, had a mom/son outing at the park and today we went to the Baltimore National Aquarium.  Colin LOVED it!  He asked if we could stay there forever. It was a lovely day and the aquarium had some pretty cool exhibits.

We saw poisonous dart frogs (cute but scary sounding), puffins (cute birds that are NOT penguins), some monkeys (from the rainforests), starfish, jelly fish, umm...coral, clown fish,  and whatever Dori from Finding Nemo is...and we saw...

Several different types of very bright fish

Beautiful birds

We watched the dolphin show

We saw BIG sea turtles - this one is missing a fin.

Some things that Colin told us he learned was that:

1. Frogs can throw darts
2. Sharks have to take time-outs (we saw one that was having a "time-out" for being too aggressive with the other sharks
3. Dolphins can wave their fins and shake their heads "yes" and "no"
4. Oh and that he thinks that sting rays are pterodactyl swimming fish

  1. What a smart you have! I wish we lived close to an aquarium! Sounds like fun!
