Where has the time gone?!?!

Meli turned 11 months yesterday...that means she is almost a year!! I do not know where all of the time has gone.  Our baby girl has almost been on this earth for one year...365 days!!!  It has been such an amazing journey so far.  Yes, stressful at times. Tiring. But..."this to shall pass".  Parents have little sacrifices (like sleep) but that is the way we pay our dues for the incredible privilege of being parents.  Especially when those kids happen to be the cutest, most sweetest little things that have ever graced this earth!  No bias opinion here at all.

Meli started walking last month and has been working on it ever since. She still crawls here and there. Mainly when walking is not doing the job fast enough...or if she is cranky.  She is a pretty fast walker now.  It is crazy how good she has gotten. Something about Meli's character that has really been noticeable the last few months, is that she is a hard worker and likes to practice.  She has shown that with practicing over and over picking something up a few months ago to walking.  I would think her motto would be (if she had one) "practice makes perfect".

She is a little talker.  I do not think she has Colin beat in that department but she does her fair share. She is saying "wat's dis" (what's this?), "doh" for dog, "door", "ba ba", "dis"and I think that is most of it. Besides "mama", "dada" and "uh-oh" but she has been saying those for quite some time.

What else? She has really changed the way she plays lately.  She is a very independent girl and can entertain herself.  She can be left alone to just do her own thing.  When she gets tired though she wants cuddles.  She has been wanting to play with Colin a lot more.  She is learning to share.  Not that she likes that all that much.  Not so much with little toys but big toys are the problem.  She loves a little tunnel at daycare and will sit in the middle and yell at anyone who tries to come in...yay.  She is starting to mimic the older girls from daycare.  They like to clean (yes!) and so the other day she grabbed a napkin and started wiping down the cupboards.

I think that is mainly it for now. We are going to start her on milk soon. I will be so glad once we are done with formula. She loves eating a lot of what we are eating for meals. Her favorites are bananas, green beans, carrots...mostly any veggie or fruit.

She loves my pearls!
