C.O.L.I.N

Before Meli's arrival we were working with Colin on his alphabet.  He knew the song but we were focusing on one letter a week - where he would write it out and we would think of words that started with it.  Well, then Meli arrived and we took a little break.  Then we started back up and then I went to Germany...so now we are back at it again.  This time thought it just "clicked".  He was not struggling before but recognizing the letter was not always easy, especially with capitals and lowercase letters.  Now though...he just gets it.  He can spell his name verbally and write it all on his own.  He can do the same with "lion" and "coin". I tried to choose ones that had similar letters. He misses the cutoff for school this next fall but he is so excited for big school.  I am so proud of our little guy. He is very interested in reading and spelling.

He also had his first soccer practice today!  He was so cute in his little outfit. Colin had a blast!  He kept asking if we could go back.  Adding this to Tae Kwon Do definitely makes for a busy week but it is worth it.
